I have tried numerous brands of leather softener or conditioner to restore my dried/hardened leather seats (not really that bad enough to crack), but none of them seem to work their magic. I assume that this is like when old folks get old, their skin get loose, dried, wrinkle (but some are soft tho) and although lotion or cream would be soaked in but none could bring them back to 20s' apperance. However, the first coulple days after the conditioner/lotion is applied, the leather seem to feel soft tho. Getting into the main point, a guy once told me to try baby oil and it seem to work its magic also at the first couple days like many others, cheap and effective. My question is: babyoil is the cheapest yet one of the best to mositurize and smooth the live human skin, but would these dead animals' leather products require some special synthetic formulas for treatment? It indeed yields moisturization, shinny appearance and slicky surface instead of greasy/sticky like others, but is there any side affect using babyoil on leather products? I have yet discover any bad signs. Thanx!
